Real-Time Tracking

A key feature of NextRoute is the ability to configure shipping processes and track all relevant information through the best available sources. Shipment data updates automatically, providing access to qualified information across logistics dimensions. Not only Container ID and Booking, but also Part Number, Purchase Order and ERP Delivery.

Predictive ETA

The solution’s benefits depend on three factors: the type of shipments managed, the organisational model of the freight forwarder’s supply chain, and how sensitive operational planning processes are to delivery-date variability caused by ETA changes.

The predictive ETA, offered by major shipping carriers and powered by artificial intelligence algorithms, is the expected arrival date calculated with a percentage probability of risk. The algorithm factors in not only consolidated delays but also subsequent phases: port congestion, average release times, the probability that a container will not be reloaded during transshipment, and the vessel’s actual position.

Based on configurable business rules, the “container monitor” enables rapid assessment of revised ETAs, allowing teams to act by exception on critical situations that could affect arrival dates.
